These are represented by specific icons on the map. As there is a lot of them, you might be confused by what some of them mean. You can find all icons below and their meanings below.

- Gun - Ammu-Nation is where you can purchase guns and body armor.
- Hammer - Hardware Store is where you can purchase melee weapons.
- Spray Can - Pay 'n' Spray will repaint and repair your car. It will also remove wanted levels.
- Phone - Telephone is where you will do missions for the mysterious caller.
- Cassette - Safe Houses is where you will save your game.
- Shirt - Clothes that you will pick up while doing various missions throughout the game.
- Crosshair - Waypoints that you can manually place on the map.
- L - Ken Rosenberg missions.
- C - Juan Cortez missions.
- D - Ricardo Diaz missions.
- A - Avery Carrington missions.
- K - Kent Paul missions.
- V - Tommy Vercetti missions.
