Best nature for Mothim and Wormadam in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Talk about a bug problem.

With 493 Pokémon to choose from, it can be hard to form your team in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. If you are a fan of bug-type Pokémon, then Mothim and Wormadam are both great choices. But you will need to match the correct nature to each Pokémon.

This becomes trickier when you consider that Wormadam has three possible forms and can only evolve from a female Burmy. A male Burmy becomes Mothim. Here are the best natures for each form.

  • Mothim - Rash - (+Special Attack, -Special Defense)
  • Plant Cloak - Timid - (+Speed, -Attack)
  • Sandy Cloak - Impish - (+Defense, -Special Attack)
  • Trash Cloak - Careful - (+Special Defense, -Special Attack)

These are the best natures we recommend for Mothim and Wormadam. Mothim has an equal special and physical attack, but as its move set is better suited for special attacks, you will want to increase this with the Rash nature.

Wormadam is a bit more confusing as it has three forms. For Plant Cloak, you will want the Timid nature for the extra speed, which will pair nicely with Quiver Dance. The Sandy Cloak and Trash Cloak take a more defensive approach to want the Impish and Careful. These natures will play to the respective form's best defensive option.
