Where to Find Red Legion Data Pad in Destiny 2

In addition to the many new items, cosmetics, recipes, and upgrades now available during the Dawning event in Destiny 2, there are also a few quests to complete during the event. One of them, known as the Rite of Dawning, is a quest given to you by Commander Zavala.

In Step Two, you are tasked with locating a Red Legion Data Pad. While this is a fairly simple thing to do, it is not very obvious where the datapad is specifically. Here is how to find it.

Starting Location

As the quest step indicates, travel to the Firebase Hades zone of the EDZ location. To get close enough to it, rather than to use your sparrow to travel all the way. Spawn at the Gulch location using the fast travel point there.

From where you spawn, turn around and travel along the road. Following this path, you will eventually reach the Firebase.

Firebase Hades

When you arrive in the Firebase area, head directly straight underneath the giant Cabal structure. Stick to the left and come out on the other side.

Once you are on the other side of the structure, you will likely see a small grey icon appear on your HUD. This is the location of the Data Pad you are looking for. 

Head toward it and interact with it to pick it up. This will complete the step and move you forward with the rest of the quest.
