How to get the Tome of Rituals in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies

More help in your fight against the undead!

Any fan of the Zombies game mode will know of the number 115. Treyarch has for the past few years branded Jan. 15th as, 115 day, a day when the Zombies game mode is celebrated. For this year's celebration, Treyarch has decided to add a bunch of new updates and improvements to Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies. One of the biggest additions is the Tome of Rituals, but what exactly is this Tome of Rituals in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies?

The Tome of Rituals is a new addition to Der Anfang, located in the center of Stalingrad. Similar to the Altar of Covenants, players can exchange Sacrificial Hearts for various upgrades. This time, the upgrades come in the form of leveling up your Artifacts to increase their power. Below you can find all of the upgrades available for each Artifact.

Frost Blast

  • Tier II â€“ Freezes normal and Special enemies for 3 seconds once they have been in the Frost Blast zone for 0.5 second.
  • Tier III â€“ Increases the Frost Blast radius by 100%.
  • Tier IV â€“ Increases the number of charges from 1 to 3.
  • Tier V â€“ Frozen normal enemies are insta-killed when damaged.

Energy Mine

  • Tier II â€“ Stuns normal and Special enemies hit by Energy Mine for 3 seconds.
  • Tier III â€“ Explodes 3 times in a row with a 0.75 second delay between explosions.
  • Tier IV â€“ Increases the number of charges from 1 to 3.
  • Tier V â€“ Increases the explosion radius by 66%.

Aether Shroud

  • Tier II â€“ Automatically reload weapons when activated.
  • Tier III â€“ Deal 500% bonus melee damage while active.
  • Tier IV â€“ Gain 50% move speed while active. Duration extended from 5 seconds to 8 seconds.
  • Tier V â€“ Increases the number of charges from 1 to 2.

Ring of Fire

  • Tier II â€“ Normal enemies inside the ring take damage equal to 2% of their max HP every second.
  • Tier III â€“ Players within the ring use ammo from stock.
  • Tier IV â€“ Staying within the ring for up to 10 seconds increases the duration from 15 seconds to 20 seconds.
  • Tier V â€“ Staying within the ring for up to 10 seconds increases your damage bonus from +50% to +75%.

These tiers are similar to the upgrades you could purchase for Aetherium Crystals in Black Ops Cold War. The difference this time is that each upgrade will cost the player one Sacrificial Heart, so you will have to complete multiple objectives to maximize the Artifact's potential. However, these upgrades are not permanent and will need to be obtained in each game of Zombies you embark in.

So there you have it, that is what the Tome of Rituals is in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies. The introduction of a more typical survival round-based game mode, as well as new weapons such as the Katana and Combat Shield, will definitely help to expand the evergrowing Dark Aether storyline as it develops moving forward.

My name is Mason Moses. I am an entertainment aficionado, who spends more time consuming it than I would like to admit.
