If you're really getting into Genshin Impact, then you are probably trying to find every single item in the game. Luckily, there is a system that shows you how much of each area you've completed. To max them out and get 100 percent completion though, you're going to need to do a lot of work.
You can check an area's completion rate at any time by going to your map and scrolling out. The more densely packed with oculi and chests an area is, the more time it's going to take to finish everything. Many players aren't even sure what counts towards completion and what doesn't.

How to get 100 percent exploration in Genshin Impact:
- Return every Seelie to their pedstal.
- Shoot all bloaty-floaties.
- Do all time and combat trials.
- Open every chest.
- Solve all the world puzzles.
- Find all of the regions oculi.
In many cases, you will also need to do quests to unlock certain areas of the map, especially once you get to Inazuma. The best way to ensure you find everything is by dividing the area up and thoroughly exploring each piece.
Once you raise your city ranking for each region, you will also receive a treasure and oculi tracking recipe. These can help to find the last few collectibles in an area.
