Players who wish to play against those on other consoles or systems need not worry as the multiplayer is cross-platform.

There will be more than 130 tracks to race on and 100 vehicles to drive in GRID Legends. The tracks will mimic real-life circuits like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Brands Hatch. The street circuits will also take place in cities like Paris, London, San Francisco, and Moscow.

Creating custom races will be possible for the first time in the series, including custom routes, obstacles, vehicle restrictions, and rules. The cars include touring cars, stadium trucks, drift cars, semi-trailers, open-wheel cars, or even electric vehicles racing on street circuits, in ovals, or off-road racing.
