What is the Medallion Case in Destiny 2?

A monument to all of your achievements.

The competition is now, Guardians! The Guardian Games are upon us, and it's time once again to prove which class is truly the best. Who will take home the gold this year? Will Titans dominate like in 2020? Will Hunters decimate like in 2021? Or will the Warlocks secure their first victory? Regardless, every Guardian from each class should remember to check their Medallion Case.

What does the Medallion Case do in Destiny 2?

To track progress during the event, Guardians will acquire a Medallion Case. The Medallion Case is an inventory within the Guardian's inventory. It tracks the current number of Laurels, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Medallions a Guardian has. It also displays the current Daily Focus. To unlock it, Guardians must go to the Tower and speak with Eva Levante.

It's a little silly to have an inventory item manage a sub inventory. But, Guardian Games isn't the first time that Bungie has done something like this. The Dawning makes use of Eva's Holiday Oven for managing ingredients and baked treats. In a weird way, it's a method to consolidate an event's items into one space and keep them from cluttering a player's inventory. Like Guardian Games itself, the Medallion Case is peculiar but effective.
