How to use the Wordle Guesser tool

Using the Wordle Guesser tool is incredibly straightforward. Play Wordle like you normally would, and when you start getting correct (green) letters, misplaced (yellow) letters, and wrong (gray) letters, add them to our Wordle word finder. Type the Correct Letter(s) into the green row, Misplaced Letter/s into the yellow row, and any wrong letters into Wrong Letters. After inputting letters into the rows, you'll notice that all the words under Guesses will become filtered by your letters.

Correct Letter

Any letter in any square of Correct Letters will only show potential words with matching letter placements. For example, adding a Z into the first square of Correct Letters will only show words beginning with Z. Placing a C into the third square of Correct Letters will only show words with C as the third letter.

Misplaced Letter

Misplaced Letters work a little differently. When letters get added to this section, it will tell the Wordle Solver tool vital letters and won't filter out any words that include it. For example, if you have Z__L_ as your Correct Letters, you have three words it can be: zills, zeals, and zilla. But if you add the letter I anywhere in that row, zeals will disappear, leaving you with zills and zilla—a 50/50 choice!

Wrong Letter

Adding letters to the Wrong Letters row works the opposite way that the Correct Letters works. It will remove words with letters in those positions—if Z is in the Wrong Letter section, the Wordle word finder will automatically remove every word starting with Z.

Tips for Solving a Wordle Puzzle

Even with the Wordle Solver Tool, you may still find yourself wanting to be a stronger Wordle player. Thankfully, we have some helpful tips to make you a Wordle champ:

• Have a dedicated starting word. Usually this is something that gives clears a lot of common letters. Words like AUDIO, CREST, and HEART are common choices.
• Play on Hard Mode. This mode keeps you from making redundant guesses, but it serves the more important function of training you to be a more savvy Wordle player.
• Use common endings for words as guesses. Words ending in ER, LY, TE, and more are popular options.
