What is Chain Crit in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak?

Chain Crit is the ability to increase attack and elemental attack damage by continuously landing hits against your opponent. There are three levels to Chain Crit in MHR Sunbreak. After you reach the third level, you will not receive any additional benefit to your Chain Crit damage.

  • Level One
    • Attack: up by 10
    • Elemental Attack: up by 8
  • Level Two
    • Attack: up by 12
    • Elemental Attack: up by 10
  • Level Three
    • Attack: up by 15
    • Elemental Attack: up by 15

Each Chain Crit attack lasts for three seconds. Upon a successive hit, it will refresh its duration.

To maximize Chain Crit, focus on creating decorations that emphasize hit damage. Decorations like Critical Jewel 2 and Crit Element Jewel 2 will boost your critical hit damage by up to 30%.

How to unlock Chain Crit Decorations in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

In order to craft Critical Jewel 2, you must first gather the key component of the decoration: Apex Blaze Sac. Get the Blaze Sac by following the Apex Rathalos Rampage quest or lucking out on a hunt reward. Once you have the Apex Blaze Sac, the decoration will unlock in the crafting menu. For Crit Element Jewel 2, the decoration will appear once you've finished the quest for and defeated the Serpent Goddess of Thunder.
