How to get Dawn Chorus in Destiny 2 (October 2022)

"Go out in a blaze of glory."

Destiny 2 keeps getting fun new Exotics for Guardians to toy with. Dawn Chorus is one of several more recent Exotics for Warlocks. However, obtaining it can be tricky, no thanks to bugs and random luck being a prerequisite. Here's how to get your mitts on the Solar buffing helmet.

How to get Dawn Chorus Exotic Warlock Helmet in Destiny 2

The only way to obtain the Dawn Chorus helm is to be on the lookout for the daily Legendary Lost Sector rotation and check if helmets are dropping. From there, simply complete the Legendary Lost Sector solo to obtain a random, class-specific Exotic helm. It's a random process and could take several runs before one drops, much to the community's chagrin. But perseverance and an offering to the RNG god can see this Exotic added to your collection.

There was an issue in September 2022 that Bungie acknowledged. This bug prevented Dawn Chorus from appearing in player collections and was resolved on October 18, 2022. Note that this didn't prevent players from obtaining the Exotic per se, but it eliminated getting a bare-bones roll from collections.

Dawn Chorus Exotic Perk

Dawn Chorus comes with the Rites of Ember Exotic Perk. This has the following effect, "Your Daybreak projectiles cause targets to scorch on contact. Your scorch effects deal more damage, and you gain a small amount of melee energy each time your scorch effects damage a target." On the rare occasion that you're not running Well of Radiance as a Solar Warlock, this is a great Exotic for PvE encounters.
