Pokémon Scarlet & Violet – Sprigatito Final Evolution

Sorry, its paws don't stay on the ground.

Everyone loves a good ol’ cat Pokémon like Litten and Sprigatito. Cats are cute, after. It’d also be cute if they could stay on all fours and grow up to be like any other feline in the world. But is that the case for Sprigatito’s final evolution in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet? Let’s find out.

Sprigatito evolves into Meowscarada at level 36. Meowscarada is a Grass/Dark-type Pokémon with high Speed and a moderately high Attack stat. Its Grass/Dark typing makes it difficult to use in PvP due to its many weaknesses, but it’s an amazing Pokémon to journey within the main story. We know it’s standing on two legs, but it’s a Magician, so it gets a pass from us!

Best moves for Meowscarada in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

  • Flower Trick
  • U-turn
  • Slash
  • Night Slash

Flower Trick is a Meowscarada-exclusive move that deals guaranteed critical damage. You can’t remove it from your moveset. Meowscarada’s other same-type attack bonus (STAB) move is Night Slash. Slash is there for coverage. After all, Normal moves are rarely strong or weak against other types.

U-turn is here to switch Meowscarada out if the opponent is strong against a Grass/Dark type Pokémon. If your Pokémon is Jolly in Nature (+Speed, -Sp. Atk), U-turn can take advantage of the extra points on Speed and allow Meowscarada to issue the first hit. This Pokémon has subpar defenses and HP, so you need to make sure it always goes first.
