How to beat Paradox Donphan the Quaking Earth Titan in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Hit on the Special side!

The Earth Titan should be most players' fourth in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Path of Legends storyline. Trainers will be going up against a Pokémon resembling Donphan with a Ground and Fighting Type. This gives players plenty of ways of dealing super effective damage, and it is recommended to be at least level 33 before taking it on. This is everything players need to know about the Quaking Earth Titan in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

The Quaking Earth Titan of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be roaming around the Asado Desert. If players haven't already, they should have long dealt with the Steel Titan, as it is several levels lower. In Pokémon Scarlet, players will fight Great Tusk, and in Violet, it will be Iron Treads, the Paradox Donphan. It is also recommended that players get their Pokémon to at least level 33. Both Pokémon have a very high Defense stat, making Special Attacks a much better option. Great Tusk both Ground and Fighting STAB in Bulldoze and Brick Break, so players should avoid bringing Pokémon weak to either move. It also knows Rapid Spin and will increase its Speed with each use. Iron Treads will have Iron Head instead of Brick Break.

When encountering either Paradox Donphan, it's important to know the Type match up against them. Great Tusk is weak to Psychic, Fairy, Ice, Water, Grass, and Flying while being immune to Electric moves. With its moves, players should avoid bringing Rock, Steel, Ice, Electric, Dark, or Fire Type Pokémon as they can all be hit for super effective damage from either Bulldoze or Brick Break. Iron Treads is weak to Fighting, Ground, Fire, and Water and avoid bringing Rock, Steel, Ice, Electric, Fairy, or Fire Types. Like the other Titans, they will run after the first encounter and have to be chased down. On the second encounter, players will be aided by Arven and his level 33 Pokémon.

The last remaining Titan can be a very difficult fight. For help with this, check out How to beat Tatsugiri + Dondozo the False Dragon Titan in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet on Pro Game Guides.
