Where to get Shiny Stones in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

For those Fairy types!

Shiny Stones are items that let certain Pokémon species evolve. For example, in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Floette can only evolve into Florges with a Shiny Stone. Once you unlock the National Pokédex later, you’ll be able to capture more Pokémon that can evolve with a Shiny Stone. That said, here’s where to find some Shiny Stones in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

Unlike Dawn Stones, which are quite rare, there are a couple of things you can do to get a Shiny Stone in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

  1. Add over 150 volumes to your Pokédex. Open your Pokédex and press X to claim rewards (see the image above). You can obtain a ton of other neat items here, too. You can also speak with Jacq (the Biology professor). He hangs out in the Biology Lab of the Academy.
  2.  Try your luck at the auctions in Proto Marinada. The list of auctioned items refreshes every new date in real life. You might see truly rare items like Bottle Caps if you're lucky.

You can also obtain Shiny Stones in Pokéballs around the overworld (Area Six and above) or dropped items (those that sparkle on the ground), but many of them are too far into the game for early access. These are the fastest ways you can own one!

Sadly, Shiny Stones also cannot be bought from Delibird Presents like more common evolutionary stones like Fire and Water Stones. Those can be bought for ₽3,000 after you’ve defeated three gym leaders.
