How do Moon Balls work and where to get them in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Do these Poké Balls also come from the moon?

Moon Balls are one of the 14 different kind of Poké Balls featured in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Originally introduced in the second generation of games, Moon Balls are best used against wild Pokémon that evolve using a Moon Stone. It's as simple as pressing the X button during a wild Pokémon battle and selecting the Moon Ball to catch them.

These Poké Balls are pretty rare and can't be purchased at a Delibird Presents the same way that others can be. So, where can you find yourself a Moon Ball in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Where to get Moon Balls in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

If you want to add Moon Balls to your Poké Ball collection, you'll need to head over to the Auction House in Porto Marinada. You can find this city on the west side of the map in West Province (Area Two). While you're in this area, you'll want to be on the lookout for Girafarig so that you can evolve it into Farigiraf.

The Auction House does not have a clear schedule of what is available or at what price. Because of this, you will need to continuously check back if you want a chance at finding a Moon Ball. Once you find one for yourself, you can head out and search for Pokémon like Jigglypuff which requires a Moon Stone to evolve into Wigglytuff.
