How to stand still in CAS in Sims 4

Here's how to stop your Sim from moving around in Create-a-Sim in The Sims 4.

If you've ever made a Sim in The Sims 4, you'll know the pain of them moving around in Create-a-Sim all too well. How are you supposed to check if an outfit looks good if they keep turning around in the wrong direction? Thankfully, there's a fix. Here's how to stand still in CAS in The Sims 4.

Can you stand still in CAS in Sims 4?

There isn't a toggle that you can switch on and off in Create-a-Sim to stop your Sim from moving around in Sims 4. However, not all is lost, as EA has implemented a way to make them stand still via the Cheat Console.

To open the Cheat Console, press the following key/button combinations depending on your platform:

  • Ctrl + Shift + C - Windows
  • Cmd + Shift + C - Mac
  • LT + LB + RT + RB - Xbox
  • L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 - PlayStation

Once the Cheat Console is open in Create-a-Sim, type in testingcheats on and confirm to enable cheats. This will close the Cheat Console, so you'll need to bring it back up again using the same button combination as before.

Now that cheats are enabled, bring up the console once more, input casclockspeed 0, and confirm. Your Sim will now stop moving in CAS, so you can work on them headache-free! Note that you'll need to confirm the cheat once your Sim is in the position you want them to stay in, as it'll freeze mid-action once the code is inputted.

If you want them to move again, type in casclockspeed 1, and your Sim will unfreeze.
