There's nothing worse than being in the middle of an intense play session when, suddenly, your game crashes. This has been happening in Dead Island 2, with players experiencing freezing in their inventory and Workshop menus. Here's how to fix inventory and workshop crashing on PC.
How to fix Dead Island 2 inventory and workshop crashing on PC
There are a handful of possible solutions that you can try to resolve Dead Island 2 crashing when you enter your inventory and try to repair weapons in the workshop on PC, most of which are tied to your game files:
- Restart Dead Island 2—An obvious one, but if you've not done so already, close and reopen the game and see if that fixes the problem.
- Disable AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2—To do this, press Pause. Go to Options > Display > Advanced Display > AMD FidelityFX. Toggle ON to OFF.
- Verify the game files—Open the Epic Games Launcher and click on Library. Right-click Dead Island 2, select Manage, and then click the gray Verify button next to Verify Files.
- Run Epic Games Launcher as Administrator—If you try the above and you're still getting crashes, close Dead Island 2 and the Epic Games Launcher. Then right-click on the Epic Games Launcher and select Run as Administrator.
- Reinstall Dead Island 2—As a last resort, if none of the above works, uninstall Dead Island 2 and then reinstall it to refresh the game files.
If, after trying all of the listed methods in Dead Island 2, the game still crashes in the inventory and workshop menus, contact PLAION Player Support by filling out a support ticket.
