How to tame a Camel in Minecraft

Camels cannot be tamed in Minecraft, however, Camels will follow a player holding a cactus within ten blocks of it. You can also attach a lead or put a saddle on Camels to have them follow or control them. Putting a saddle on a Camel allows up to two players to ride it, with the front having complete control of the Camel. The friendly creature can walk or sprint and has a Dash ability with a cooldown of 2.75 seconds. The Dash ability will cause the Camel to lead forward, moving up to 12 blocks forward and one block up.

How to breed a Camel in Minecraft

To breed a Camel in Minecraft, you must first find two Camels and bring them together in a pen or with a lead. After the Camels are close to each other, feed each one a cactus. Camels will enter love mode, which can be seen by hearts hovering above their heads. The Camels will then create a baby Camel. Camels can breed every five minutes, so if you have plenty of cactus, you can quickly create lots of Camel babies. The babies can have their growth sped up by feeding them cactus as well. I will get my cute army of Camels!!

During world creation, camels will spawn in the desert biome in the center of each desert village. Camels do not respawn if killed, so make sure if you find one that, it stays unharmed. Camels can heal over time or regain two hearts by being fed a cactus.
