The Season 5 update for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 introduced two new weapons and some other changes to the game. Despite the weapon balancing patch pushed by the developers, the meta seems to be the same as before. Below, I've listed the best Assault Rifles (ARs) to use right now.

Best Assault Rifles in Warzone 2 Season 5

Typically, players use an Assault Rifle as their long-range weapon and pair it with an SMG for close-range. In the current state of Warzone, Battle Rifles perform better than the Assault Rifles, thanks to their fast time-to-kill (TTK). Therefore, I've also included two best Battle Rifles in this guide. But first, let's have a look at the top 5 ARs:

1. Tempus Razorback: Tempus Razorback is the best Assault Rifle in Season 5 of Warzone 2. It has everything you need on a good weapon: fast TTK, high fire rate, and very low recoil.
2. M13B: This gun has been one of the best ARs since it was added to the game back in the first season.
3. Kastov 545: If you're looking for a low-recoil option other than the Tempus Razorback, go with the Kastov 545.
4. M4: The most iconic weapon in Call of Duty history performs almost similarly to the Kastov 545 TTK-wise but has just a bit more recoil.
5. Chimera: Chimera has the fastest TTK of all Assault Rifles in Warzone. However, it's best used as a sniper support due to its poor effectiveness over longer ranges.
