Survivor Medals have returned to Fortnite as a part of the Chapter 4 Season 4 update with a major overhaul. Initially, Survivor Medals were awarded based on the number of players alive on the map, but now players need to follow a whole new process in order to earn them. How To Earn Survivor Medals in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4
Survivor Medals are a type of Battle Medal in Fortnite Battle Royale, and to earn them in the latest season, you must complete a Survivor Quest in Battle Royale or Zero Build that requires you to outlast a fixed number of opponents while getting a certain number of eliminations. The higher your medal rarity, the harder the Quests.
There are seven medal rarities, with ten medal upgrades per rarity. These rarities are:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Exotic
- Mythic
Fortnite Survivor Medal Rewards
After obtaining the Common 1 medal, you will be rewarded with a Prized Llama Back Bling in Fortnite. But that's not all. You can further unlock various new Styles for Prized Llama by upgrading your Survivor Medal rarity.
Here's a quick rundown of all the style rewards:
- Common: White Prized Llama Back Bling
- Uncommon: Green Prized Llama Back Bling
- Rare: Blue Prized Llama Back Bling
- Epic: Purple Prized Llama Back Bling
- Legendary: Orange Prized Llama Back Bling

As mentioned earlier, the difficulty level of the quests will increase as you upgrade your Survivor medal. Therefore, unlocking the first few upgrades and their respective rewards will be relatively easier for you than the final levels.
