What does the Pocketed spacesuit effect do in Starfield

Can you carry this for me?

As with all good ARPGs, Starfield isn’t shy about showering you with loot. From snow globes to shotguns, you’ll find plenty of cool stuff as you explore, but not everything is well described. Spacesuits are common in the game and give some cool bonuses alongside protection from the elements (and bad guys). If you’re wondering what the Pocketed effect does (which you'll find on the Mercury Spacesuit, among others) on a spacesuit in Starfield, read on.

Starfield Spacesuit effect Pocketed, explained

Pocketed gives a 5kg bonus to your carry capacity. While it may not sound very exciting and isn't the most glamorous, it's easily one of my favorite spacesuit mods. Carrying capacity is such a massive bugbear for most players in Starfield, including me, that it's well worth seeking out. Anything that puts off yet another gear exchange with my current companion—or a trip back to the ship to offload—is worth its weight (pun intended) in credits.

If you can’t find a spacesuit with the Pocketed bonus, you can also mod one yourself. You’ll need to have advanced the Spacesuit Mods skill to Grade 2 to be able to add it, as well as Adhesive, Polytextile, and Sealant (x2) for crafting. You'll find the mod is compatible with most spacesuits in the game and when you consider how low the requirement for resources is, it is a great bonus.
