Best Sniper loadouts in MW3

Try out these Sniper Rifle class setups!

Sniper rifles in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer and are amongst the best weapons in the game thanks to their one-shot kill potential. If you want to pick off opponents from afar, then here are the best sniper rifle loadouts you can use in MW3.

The game currently features 10 sniper rifles, however, only three are from Modern Warfare 3. Luckily, these weapons are much more effective than their counterparts from MW2. Below, you'll find my preferred loadouts for the new sniper rifles.

Best Modern Warfare 3 Sniper Rifle loadouts

Here are the three best Sniper Rifles to use in Modern Warfare 3 right now:

  • Longbow: Has a high rate of fire and allows fast handling with the right attachments.
  • KATT-AMR: Heavy-duty sniper that performs well in larger 6v6 maps and is great for Ground War and War Mode.
  • KV Inhibitor: Similar to the Longbow, but has a higher damage output and not as good handling.

Because we're talking about Multiplayer, I think the best way to use these guns is for quickscoping. Below are the loadout builds for the best Snipers in MW3.

Longbow loadout

  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Stock: No Stock
  • Ammunition: 7.62x39mm High Grain Rounds
  • Magazine: 10 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Demo 650 Grip

I've prioritized improving the gun's handling and mobility stats, including aim-down-sight (ADS), sprint-to-fire, and movement speed with this build. The laser, rear grip, and no-stock attachments are useful for handling, but don't forget to use the smaller mag for the same reason. Finally, you can throw on the High Grain ammo for better damage range and bullet velocity.

KATT-AMR loadout

  • Barrel: Perdition 24" Short Barrel
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Stock: Tactical Stock Pad
  • Underbarrel: Cornerstone Bipod
  • Bolt: Ephemeral Quickbolt

Once again, the short barrel, laser, and tactical stock have been used primarily for better ADS speed. The Cornerstone Bipod seems like a useless attachment if you look at its characteristics, but when you open the detailed stats you'll notice it significantly helps with ADS speed. I also added the quickbolt attachment for faster rechambering speed on the sniper.

KV Inhibitor loadout

  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
  • Ammunition: .338 Magnum High Grain Rounds
  • Magazine: 5 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Broadside Factory Grip

Because the KV Inhibitor Sniper Rifle is very similar to the Longbow, I've used an almost identical build for this gun. Since this gun doesn't have a no-stock attachment, you can instead use a handling-boosting underbarrel such as the XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop or DR-6 Handstop.
