If you want to dominate in Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer, you need the right attachments for your weapons. However, players have reported that they are unable to unlock Modern Warfare 3 attachments due to a nasty bug, even after leveling up their weapons.
Why are MW3 attachments not showing up?
The reason why you can’t find some of the attachments you’ve unlocked in Modern Warfare 3 is that the Gunsmith filter option is enabled in the loadout section. To see all your attachments, you have to turn off the filter in the custom loadouts menu.
The filter option lets you sort and display the attachments based on different criteria, such as weapon type, attachment type, locked or unlocked status, and aftermarket parts. However, the filter option can also hide some of the attachments that you have unlocked, depending on the settings that you have chosen.
It is possible that Activision enabled the filters by default in the latest patch, either intentionally or unintentionally, to improve the user interface or to reduce the clutter in the Gunsmith. This solution was discovered by Reddit users who said that their attachment filters were on, and that’s why they were hidden in the loadout section.

How to disable attachment filters in MW3
Follow these instructions to disable Gunsmith filters in Modern Warfare 3:
- Launch Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer.
- Head to the Weapons tab.
- Click on the Custom loadout option.
- Select Filtering in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Uncheck all the filters.
You will then see all the attachments that you have unlocked, including the ones from MW2. You can also change the filter settings to suit your preferences, such as showing only the attachments that you have unlocked or only the ones that are compatible with your weapon.
