The automation of Wood and Stone is practically given to you for free in Palworld, making your early base-building bonanza a breeze. However, Ore is a beast that doesn't have such easy options, and its importance to your base's progression is paramount, so here's how you can resolve that problem with some clever use of game mechanics.
Where to farm Ore in Palworld (Map Location)
To turn the tedious process of mining Ore into one of pure passive gain at the start of the game, you first need to find a location where Ore Nodes are numerous and in close proximity to each other. You see, resources in Palworld respawn after a short amount of time, so this farming strategy aims to take advantage of that fact. If you're having trouble finding such a richly defined location, head to the coordinates (-73, -319) on your map.
If that spot is a bit too far for you to reach, you can head to the Desolate Church Waypoint (70, -409) instead.
Just behind the church itself is another ore field ripe for mining. Note that you'll have less room to work with using this spot, but it is perfectly serviceable.
In either location, you'll be graced with a beautiful field full of Ore; the perfect location to construct your secondary base. First, automation for both Stone and Wood must be reached. Build your base as normal until you've got your Logging Site and Stone Pit operational and your Pals working overtime to get you the resources you need. Once you have, it's time to build the foundation for a passive Ore farm.
You're going to need some strong miners to farm Ore quickly for you. Head to (-109, -146) and capture at least three Digtoise Pals roaming the Desert biome's shoreline. These tortoise-like Pals have level 3 Mining, making them among the best you obtain early on. You'll want to be at least level 20 before attempting to do this though, as the Digtoise are around that level.
Once you've captured all three, return to your base and deploy them into your service immediately. They will begin to mine the surrounding ore, spinning at rapid speed, shredding all the Ore in their path. If they don't, assign your Digtoise to mine Ore by Lifting them and placing them near a node. The resulting spinning will yield a lot of ore which will drop to the ground, so make sure you have enough Pals with the Transporting Work Suitability skill on hand.
This passive Ore gain works because the surrounding Ore will respawn faster than your Digtoise can mine it, meaning that despite their constant work, you'll never run out of Ore to mine. This means that you'll always have it on hand and at your disposal. Never farm Ore again.
Another way you can employ your Digtoise Pals is at the Ore Mining Site. This is a base upgrade which you can unlock at Level 15 of the Ancient Technology Tree. It works just like the Stone Pit and Logging Site, allowing you to passively mine Ore even if there are no Nodes around. When you reach Level 31, you can upgrade to the Ore Mining Site II for even larger quantities of Ore.
