All Legendaries coming to Pokémon Unite – Miraidon, Falinks & Ceruledge

First legendary speedster in the game!

While two of the upcoming Legendaries are popular Pokémon from some of the more recent games, the other will be the third Legendary introduced in Pokémon Unite. Legendaries have already been a touchy subject for Pokémon Unite players, so it will be interesting to see how a third option affects the game's balance.

In the most recent Pokémon Presents, they announced three new Pokémon coming to the Unite roster. These Pokémon are:

  • Miraidon: Legendary Pokémon from the Paldea region. This Pokémon is a very fast Electric and dragon type that will serve as a Speedster in Pokémon Unite.
  • Falinks: A Fighting-type from Galar. Falinks has a group of heads that form together to create a caterpillar-like chain.
  • Ceruledge: A Ghost and Fire-type from Paldea. Ceruledge sports blades on each of its hands. It also has an enourmous Attack stat, which can be further boosted with Swords Dance.

Miraidon was released the same day as the present, and while it's debatable how it compares with Mewtwo and Zacian, it certainly is very powerful. It has a ranged and melee set, each of which can be enhanced with Parabolic Charge. Miraidon's passive, Hadron Engine, can also prevent sleep, making it a great counter to Pokémon like Wigglytuff.

Falinks is set to release sometime in April, while Ceruledge does not have a specific release date. It is possible that, once Ceruledge comes out, Armarouge will be soon to follow. This is because they both evolve from the same base Pokémon: Charcadet.

The game could treat Charcadet like Kubfu, where, depending on the move it selects, it can evolve into two different Pokémon. It's been a while since we've had a straight attacker in the game, so I'm most excited for Ceruledge.
