Stardew Valley x Terraria = secret weapon

With the Stardew Valley 1.6 update, the game has a plethora of added content, including new crops, pets, and even the Terraria-themed secret weapon—Meowmere! As a fan of Terraria, I was eager to find out how to get Meowmere in Stardew Valley.

How to get Meowmere in Stardew Valley 1.6 - Terraria weapon

Meowmere is the new secret Terraria-themed weapon in Stardew Valley, and you can get it by following the steps below:

  1. Grab an Ancient Doll and go to the 100th floor of the Mines.
  2. Throw the Ancient Doll into the lava pool to get a far-away stone.
  3. Take the far-away stone to the Wizard's Basement.
  4. With the far-away stone on hand, interact with the vase-looking item on the far right side of the basement, and a short cutscene will play where a cat from the world of Terraria will give you a Meowmere.

If the steps seem awfully familiar, it's because they're the same way you summon the Wall of Flesh in Terraria. You drop a Guide Voodoo Doll into the lava while the Guide is alive, and you'll automatically face the Wall of Flesh.

Hopping back to Stardew Valley 1.6 update, the Meowmere is not an overpowered weapon; in fact, it's a bit underwhelming with a dash of catto-cuteness. The weapon has 20-20 damage, +4 Speed, and +2 Weight, making it a useful combat tool for kiting and dodging tricky enemies like the blue squid.

With Terarria receiving a blue chicken and Junimo pet, it's not surprising that Stardew Valley gets Terraria-themed content in return. Hopefully, it will not be the last cross-over between the two adorable indie titles.
