Which Echo should you pick in Wuthering Waves Echo Summon event?

Which is the right Echo choice for you?

Echos are the lifeblood of your characters in Wuthering Waves as they are the most important 'items' you'll be looking to obtain for them. If you're participating in the Echo Summoning event in hopes of getting a leg up for release, here are the best Echoes you should go for.

The Echo Summoning event is largely an event focused on advertisement for Wuthering Wave's upcoming release. However, it is offering a few cool perks for players, like free Asterite (the game's premium currency), and one free Echo of your choice once the game has been released.

As someone who extensively played through Wuthering Wave's last CBT (Closed Beta Test 3), I can tell your Echo choice in this event is not as difficult as it may seem. In reality, you should go for any Echo that has a cost of '3' listed in the Echo Gallery. What do I mean by this? Allow me to explain.

For clarity, all Echos in Wuthering Waves have a numeric cost associated with them in the top left-hand corner of their image. This cost is tied to the equipment system in the game, in which equipping an Echo costs the value you're shown.

There is a maximum value that cannot be exceeded on each character, thus limiting which combination of Echos you can use on them. For example, you can't throw on five '3' cost Echos, as you'll run out of space very fast, and will miss out on stats.

As for the event, you want to pick a '3' cost Echo, because the higher the cost value, the better the stats you'll get on the Echo. You want to get as close to the loadout cap as possible without having any empty Echo slots, and you'll be able to use '3' cost Echos to help you do that.

The other reason you want to go for a '3' cost Echo is because they have a more potent active ability. In fact, the higher the cost value of an Echo, the more powerful their active ability tends to be. With this in mind, I recommend going for the Cyan-Feathered Heron or Flautist as your pick, as their abilities had some use in the Closed beta, though that is always subject to change for release.

Does your event Echo choice matter in Wuthering Waves?

Ultimately, your choice of the Echo does not matter. The biggest reason for this is that all Echos will come with random stats, similar to how Artifacts in Genshin Impact did (if you're familiar). You'll be actively farming Echos throughout your entire time with Wuthering Waves, so you'll probably forget which Echo you even picked before long. What's more, Echos are farmable for free, with no Stamina cost, meaning this sole Echo from this event is of little value in the long run. The odds of this one-event Echo rolling with amazing stats are very low, by the nature of RNG-based stats, so don't stress about it.
