How to unlock fishing rod and catch fish in Hades 2

Hades 2 brings back most of the gameplay mechanics from its predecessor, including the fun and rewarding fishing activity. This guide will help you unlock the Fishing Rod and teach you how to fish in Hades 2.

How to get the Fishing Rod in Hades 2

To get the Fishing Rod in Hades 2, you have to craft it at the weapons unlock area in Crossroads. Head over to the weapon unlock area past the first area of Crossroads and click on the Harvest Tool tab on the top right, where you can craft the Fishing Rod for 1 Bronze and 2 F-Fabric.

How to get Bronze in Hades 2

You can find tons of Bronze in the Upper World of Hades 2, but unlocking it can be tricky. To do that, you must defeat Hecate (the first main boss) thrice. Then unlock the Permeation of Witching Wards incantation from the pot. Use it to remove Wards and move to the Upper World, where you can find Bronze (as you find silver in the first world).

How to get F-Fabric in Hades 2

There are various ways to get F-Fabric (Fate Fabric) in the game, but the best and easiest is to purchase them from the Wretched Broker for 60 Bones. You'll need to unlock the Wretched Broker from the Incantation Cauldron, which unlocks after you die twice. After getting it from the pot, you will find him on the southern side of the cauldron.

How to catch fish in Hades 2

Catching fish in Hades 2 is easy after you get the Fishing Rod. All you have to do is find a pond where you get the indication to fish. After that, press the indicated button, E, to start fishing and then press the button again when the hook is fully sunk to catch a fish.

You must be very quick (I failed the first five times) when pressing E, or it will be too late, and you will lose your chance to get a fish. After you get the fish hooked, you will have to press E as soon as the hook gets inside the indicated area and fill in all the dots to get the fish.
