How to fix Loot Mapper not working in Wuthering Waves

Just let me have my treasure.

I’m the type of player who likes to complete as much content as I can, especially in an open-world game like Wuthering Waves. So, seeing my Loot Mapper at 0/3 when I’ve not used any of them is frustrating. At times, the button itself is even unclickable. If the same thing is happening to you, here’s why it's occurring and what you can do in the meantime.

Why is the Wuthering Waves Loot Mapper not working?

First, this is caused by the newest WuWa hotfix/update. It often triggers after one of three things: opening the Loot Mapper indoors, opening it while you’re in a pocket dimension (like the Tower of Adversity), or switching from another utility to it after you’ve finished the main story.

Aside from the Loot Mapper, you’ll find other game utilities suddenly not working, like the one that summons a water tornado (for us). The most informed decision we can make is that Kuro is trying to fix something in the background and has temporarily disabled some of the “lesser used” utilities to fix a bigger issue. Not that no one uses the Loot Mapper or anything.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game won’t fix it. You have to wait for a patch. Report the bug to Kuro with us to get it noticed faster.

On some PCs, this issue can temporarily be "fixed" by only using one charge of the Loot Mapper. Try to close your other loot maps and only open one at a time for now.

It’s no secret that Wuthering Waves isn’t exactly the most optimized game for PC. But the good news is that the mobile experience is a bit better. This means the hotfix hasn’t mucked up the Loot Mapper on the mobile version of the game—and hopefully, that’s not a “yet” circumstance.

If, for some reason, your mobile version of Wuthering Waves is bugged by the Loot Mapper error, just use one out of the three charges available for now. Remove the one you were using and set up a new treasure radar.

Wuthering Waves is a crossplay game. You can use your account to log into the game using any of the devices it currently supports.
