Did you get the Algaes in Fisch?

Apart from the 5 Limited Time Bestiary Fishes in Golden Tide Pool, there is also an Event Quest as part of the update called the Tides of Gold Quest. So, here is a complete guide on taking up the quest and capturing the 4 Algaes spread throughout the map as part of the quest.

To start the Tides of Gold Quest, you must speak with Dr. Glimmerfin, NPC at Moosewood. If you don't know where the NPC is, just look next to the leaderboard at Moosewood to find him standing near a whiteboard.

After speaking with Dr. Glimmerfin, he will ask you to get four types of Algae from various islands. I have mentioned all four Algae and the requirements to catch each one of them.

Ancient Algae

  • A server wide message of Ancient Alage Pool
  • An Algae Pool in Fisch

To get the Ancient Algae, you have to fish in the Ancient Algae Pool area near the Ancient Island. Before the Event starts, you will receive a server-wide notification saying, "Algae has Spawned near the Ancient Island." Go outside the Ancient Isle, and you will find a pool like the one in the above image. Start fishing here in this grid-like area, and you will get the Ancient Algae. Remember, there are limited Algaes in each pool. So, catch the Algae before someone gets it.

Snowcap Algae

Similar to the Ancient Algae, the Snowcap Algae is also available to pool inside a small area next to the Snowcap Island. Its availability is also indicated with a server-wide message saying, "Algae has Spawned near the Snowcap Island." Just drive around the outer regions of Snowcap Island to find the Algae pool where you can fish to get the Snowcap Algae. It also has a limited pool, so catch it before someone gets it!

Forsaken Algae

For the Forsaken Algae, wait for a shared server saying, "Algae has Spawned near the Forsaken Shores Island.". When you get this message, go directly to the Forsaken Shore Island and roam around its outer shores using a boat. You will find a pool-like area with a grid and availability sign about its top. Fish here using your best rod, like Rod of Depths, Heavens, to get a chance of obtaining the Forsaken Algae.

Mushgrove Algae

Like all other Algae, the final Mushgrove Algae is also fishable in the Mushgrove Algae Pool. This pool will spawn randomly with a message saying, "Algae has Spawned near the Mushgrove Swamp."Once you receive this message, go to the Mushgrove Algae and look for the pool outside the shore area. You can identify its location by the grid pattern. As usual, fish here to get the Mushgrove Algae in the game.

All Tides of Gold Quest Event Rewards
