Dopa on stream after his military service

The God of SoloQ, Dopa, Is Back From the Army and Streaming Again

Dopa is back for soloq?

The year 2023 was one of the worst for the most hardcore League of Legends fans, as that is the year Dopa, the legendary solo queue climber from Korea, went to complete his mandatory military service. But it seems he is back now and streaming again! Here are all the details we know so far.

Dopa's military service ended, and he streamed for the first time after more than a year and a half on YouTube, which you can check on his channel embedded above. He wasn't playing League of Legends on stream, so fart, though, and instead, it was one of his signature "Notepad" streams where he just talked about life in general and his army life.

According to BoostRoyal, Dopa's military service began on August 21, 2023, and it seems to have ended on February 20, 2025. That's a total of 18 months he spent in the army and away from the game that made him so popular, League of Legends.

Will Dopa Stream League of Legends Again?

There is still nothing certain on whether Dopa will start streaming League of Legends again, but one thing is for sure: once a solo queue climber, always a solo queue climber. A lot of ex-pro LoL players from Korea who already completed their mandatory military service have returned to the game, and chances are that Dopa will do that, too, eventually. What we, as fans, can do is hop into his stream and make sure he has an even bigger audience than before for his mid-lane stomps.

Who is Apdo (Dopa) League of Legends Streamer?

Jeong "Apdo" Sang-gil (Hangul: 정상길) is a retired professional League of Legends player and widely regarded as one of the best solo queue players in the world. He was banned from the professional scene for being involved in boosting. After that, he switched to streaming and gained fame by completing insanely fast Challenger and rank one climb, and dominating even pro players in the solo queue with his signature champions: Twisted Fate, Orianna, and Viktor.

That sums up all we have so far regarding Dopa and his return to streaming. We'll keep you posted on all the new things he does, so be sure to bookmark Pro Game Guides. Also, check out the news section on our website for more esports and gaming news!
