The Scylla Hunt is one of the most challenging and rewarding encounters in Fisch, taking place in the Veil of the Forsaken, the final area of Mariana's Veil. Before you can participate in the hunt, you’ll need to defeat the Scylla Boss through a puzzle-heavy journey that starts in the Calm Zone.
How to Reach the Veil of the Forsaken
The Veil of the Forsaken is located deep within Marianas Veil and serves as the battleground for both the Scylla Boss Fight and the Scylla Hunt. To reach it, you’ll need to solve several puzzles, starting in the Calm Zone—the lowest point in the cave system.
Step 1: Finding the Calm Zone
The Calm Zone is located at the very bottom of Marianas Veil, beneath Abyssal Zenith. You’ll find the entrance at (-4145, -11210, 1395). Once inside, submarines are no longer usable, and you’ll need to navigate the caves on foot.
Step 2: Entering the First Puzzle Room
To begin the puzzle sequence, head to the south end of the Calm Zone, where you’ll find the Rainbow River’s endpoint at coordinates (-4305, -11230, 1955). Dive underwater, and swim through an underwater tunnel until you reach a large gate at (-4330, -11180, 3120).
Step 3: Opening the Large Gate
To open the gate, you must collect and place three rare fish from different locations in Marianas Veil. These are:
Fish Name | Location |
---|---|
Magma Leviathan | Volcanic Vents |
Frozen Leviathan | Challenger’s Deep |
Crowned Anglerfish | Abyssal Zenith |
Once you’ve placed all three fish in the designated slots, the gate will open, revealing a chamber filled with rainbow water.
The Scylla Puzzle (How to Unlock the Veil of the Forsaken)
Beyond the Large Gate lies a statue puzzle that must be completed before entering the Veil of the Forsaken. The room contains four Scylla statues, each needing to be moved into its correct position.
Scylla Puzzle Rules
- Each statue starts at the beginning of a straight line.
- The correct position is randomized every time the puzzle resets.
- Pushing from behind moves the statue forward.
- Pushing from the front moves the statue backward.
- When a statue is in the correct position, it will light up green.
- The player has one minute to place all four statues correctly.
- If time runs out, the puzzle resets and enters a short cooldown period.
Once all four statues are placed correctly, a trapdoor will open, allowing players to jump down and teleport to the Veil of the Forsaken.
The Scylla Boss Fight
Upon entering the Veil of the Forsaken, players will be placed in a waiting room before the Scylla Boss Fight begins. Multiple players can join the fight at the same time.
The Scylla has four heads, each capable of launching a unique fireball attack. If a player is hit by all four types of fireballs, they will die instantly and respawn at the Chessboard Puzzle.
How to Defeat Scylla
To defeat Scylla, players must locate and assemble a Large Crossbow by collecting its three parts:
Crossbow Part | Location |
---|---|
Crossbow Base | North side of the chamber at (-4345, -11155, 6490) |
Crossbow Bow | Northeast side at (-4800, -11185, 6610) |
Crossbow Arrow | Northwest side at (-4035, -11185, 6510) |
Once all parts are collected, they must be returned to the large crossbow above the entrance at (-4360, -11090, 7140). When fully assembled, a cutscene will show the player firing the Crossbow, killing the Scylla, and completing the boss fight.
Any player who contributes at least one Crossbow part will gain permanent access to the Veil of the Forsaken. They will no longer need to fight the Scylla Boss and can enter freely at any time. Players can also participate in the Scylla Hunt
Fisch Leviathan’s Fang Rod – Location & Stats
The Leviathan’s Fang Rod is a powerful fishing rod found inside the Veil of the Forsaken, near the entrance at (-4360, -11170, 3710). To purchase the Leviathan’s Fang Rod, players must have defeated the Scylla Boss and pay 1,000,000C$.

Scylla Hunts in Fisch
When a Scylla Hunt is announced to the server, you can attempt to catch one from the Veil of the Forsaken. Players have had success using Sundial Totems to force-spawn a Scylla. These are the Scylla's preferences:
- Weather: No preference
- Season: No preference
- Time of Day: No preference
- Bait: Shark Head
The Scylla does -95% to your progress speed when you're trying to catch it, making it extremely difficult to reel it. You'll want to equip a fishing rod with high Resilience or Control stats. These are the rods I suggest for this hunt:
Fishing Rod | Lure Speed | Luck | Control | Resilience | Max Weight |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Abyssal Specter Rod | 60% | 90% | 0.3 | 70% | Infinite |
Challenger's Rod | 80% | 110% | 0.2 | 30% | Infinite |
Champions Rod | 45% | 65% | 0.25 | 30% | 200,000kg |
Ethereal Prism Rod | 95% | 190% | 0.25 | 40% | Infinite |
Heaven's Rod | 27% | 225% | 0.2 | 30% | Infinite |
Summit Rod | 15% | 75% | 0.25 | 15% | 200,000kg |
Volcanic Rod | 30% | 90% | 0.1 | 15% | Infinite |
Zeus Rod | 70% | 70% | 0.15 | 20% | Infinite |
It would also be best to commit to a Scylla Hunt when there is an Aurora or you have an Aurora Totem to pop because of the added luck.
