One of the most noticeable mechanics in Age of Empires IV is the lists of pseudo-achievements called masteries. The Abbasid Mastery list encourages players to explore all the mechanics of the Abbasid civilization, with a special focus on camels and the ability to build siege weapons on the battlefield.

Upon completing each task in the Abbasid Mastery list, you are rewarded with 1000 experience points. You unlock information about the history of people, places, and things that influenced the course of history for civilization.
