Barracks are one among the several military buildings in the world of Age of empires IV. During your initial campaign, you are most likely to build a barrack as your first military postings. The building serves as a training center to produce various infantry soldiers like Spearmen, Swordsman, and much more, depending upon your civilization. To create a Barrack, you need 150 wood and assign the task of building it through an idle/working villager.
To do this, follow the steps given below:
- First and Foremost, collect 150 pieces of wood in your town hall.
- Now, look for any idle/working villager and select the character.
- On your bottom screen, browse and navigate till you find the Barracks buildings, among others.
- Place the Barrack blueprint in a suitable location of your choice and press the left mouse button(LMB).
- The villager will start building the Barrack and will be ready in 15 seconds.
- You can speed up the process of building a barrack by assigning more villagers to it.
Remember, Barracks provide different types of soldiers depending upon your clan and civilization. The more advanced your era is, the more variety you can add to your military arsenal. Also, remember to mix up your army by creating troops from other military buildings like Archery, Stables.
