Where to find the Shotgun in Alone in the Dark

To find the shotgun in Alone in the Dark, you need to go to the Small Parlor. You'll see it in the case on the wall. However, you can't get it just yet. There are a few steps you need to complete first

If you want the shotgun, you will have to find the Lost Children Lagniappe collection. There are three in total, and they can all be found in both Emily's and Edward's playthroughs.

You can get the first one even while you are trying to open the front door in the first game quest. Once you are up in the Stair Hall, go through the doors to the Reception first. Be careful not to get too close to the front door, or you'll trigger the cutscene. When you get to Reception, head to the window and grab the Rubber Stamp, the first Lagniappe that you need to unlock the shotgun.

After you finish the first dream sequence and explore the ground floor, head up to the Gallery. Go to the left hallway and through the second door. That's Batiste's room. You will find a Fountain Pen Lagniappe on a table to the left.

The last Lagniappe in this collection is a little trickier. You can't get it right away since it is locked behind the wedged door in the drawing room. Once you are back from the Oil Rig dream sequence with Jeremy's bag after completing the Astronomical clock puzzle, you'll get a Palette knife. You'll use this to open the door. The Dog Collar can be found on a shelf of a table all the way to the back of the room underneath a window.

When you have all three Lagniappe, head back to the Smal Parlor, and you'll be able to pick up the Shotgun. Have fun blasting the monsters to pieces with a more powerful weapon.
