After finishing the Astronomical Clock puzzle, the Talisman tells you to go into Batiste's room to advance the plot. Once you get there, a portal to the dark dimension opens, allowing you to step into the nightmare realm once more. After encountering a maid stuck on the other side and saving her life from a strange Kothoga-like creature, you abruptly return to the real world, carrying a bag with you.

Alongside the all-important Palette knife, you will also find Reflections on the power of the verb in certain texts, a Clue, and a Sitting room key (which is also an item vital to the game progression). Not a bad haul from the Shadowrealm if you ask me.
