If you have been having trouble using the chat feature in Among Us, this is likely due to one of two reasons. Whether you're having issues with a quick chat or just chatting in general, it's not too hard to fix.

Only Able to Use Quick Chat

In late March 2021, Among Us had one of the largest updates in its game history. This update had many changes, including the Airship map, new tasks, new animations, and even some free accessories. Another notable feature was that players no longer need an account to play Among Us.

Some players may have noticed that they could only use Quick Chat if they were playing without an account logged in or created. You have to create and log in to use the regular chat. Otherwise, only a quick chat will work.

Can't Use Chat

If you cannot use the chat at all, even while you are logged in to your account, then there is another way to fix this. To use the regular chat feature while logged into an account, you need to have your age in settings be 18 or older. To reset your age, you will need to uninstall the app and reinstall it.
