Best drop locations on Storm Point in Apex Legends

Great Points of Interest to drop at for every kind of player.

Storm Point is the fourth Battle Royale map in Apex Legends, and it is also the biggest. Looking at a map so big can be overwhelming, but if you are looking for the best places to land, whether you like hot drops, cold drops, or even PvE, we’ve got you covered. Here are the best drop locations to land at on the Storm Point Battle Royale map in Apex Legends.

Command Center

If you dropped Skull Town, if you drop Fragment, or if you drop Estates: This one’s for you. Command Center is the hot drop of hot drops, even when it’s not a hot zone. When it is a hot zone? So, help you. Here, the fighting is early, fast, and brutal. Come out on top, and you’ve got it made. Enter through the doors, or if you want to get right in it, enter through the opening at the top.

Fish Farms

If Command Center is a little too much for you, take the scenic route to Fish Farms instead. Find a fair amount of loot, and often only 1-2 teams will land there in a given game. It is a quieter but powerful place to begin your game and often has a Replicator there as well. Rotate to Gale Station, LaunchPad, or even trapse up the east coast and take out some Prowlers.

Forbidden Zones

It may not be named on the map, but don’t overlook it. Forbidden Zones is the best minor Point of Interest (POI) on Storm Point, and it is often called Jurassic Park by fans for the right reasons. This caged-in section of the map is full of wild Prowlers. Choose your weapons, grind your shields for Evo Points as you take down the Prowlers, and kit out your weapons with smart loot along the way.

Note: Forbidden Zones is located directly to the northwest of Antenna.

Lightning Rod

At the most Northern part of the map, you will find great loot where lightning cracks the sky. This can be a pretty hot-drop, but they are enough sub-elements to the location that you can usually kit up pretty well before getting into a fight. There are also two Gravity Cannons pretty close by, so choosing a rotation out of the POI is easy as well.

The Mill

This place is just fun to land. Usually, you get a fair number of teams, it’s a great place for an early battle, similar to Command Center, and the loot there is some of the best on the map.  There are two clear halves of the mill itself, and often, battles will happen within each, and then right smack in the middle.

North Pad

North Pad is a great POI to loot and a fun POI to snipe from if you aren’t alone. Depending on the game, this POI can either be a quiet place to grab as much loot as possible or a strange battle of wits over who gets the good loot, who gets the high ground, and who gets an early grave.

Obviously, there are other POIs to choose from than just these six, and at the end of the day, it’ll come down to what works best for your playstyle, but if you are looking for a point in the right direction, these six POIs are a great place to start.
