Unshackled Event brings Flashpoint Limited Time Mode (LTM) back to Apex Legends

Flashpoint is back.

Between Arenas, new maps, and the introduction of the new Control mode, traditional Limited Time Modes (LTMs) haven’t seen much daylight for the past couple of seasons. That said, the end of Season 12: Defiance is bringing that LTM format players know and love back. An LTM called Flashpoint, first introduced in the Aftermarket Collection Event, is returning to the game for the Unshackled Event.

In Flashpoint, there are a series of large orbs around certain Points of Interest (POIs) on the map called Flashpoints. Within them, you will auto-regen your health and shields. Outside of them, shield cells, syringes, medkits, and shield batteries have all been removed. The LTM will be available alongside the usual game modes.

In addition to Flashpoint returning, there are 40 new thematic cosmetics that will be mixed into the greater loot pool rather than being a limited-time offer. There will still be limited-time cosmetics on the Prize Trackers, though. This has become standard for these events, but do note that unlike the other events of their kind, the Unshackled Event is only two weeks long—not three. The Unshackled Event runs from April 19 until May 3.
