Archero 2 is one hell of a grind, but there are many ways to make it less painful. To help you out, we collected all the most essential tips and tricks you'll need. Everything you need is in one place, in our ultimate Archero 2 beginner's guide!

How to Progress in Archero 2

The most important piece of content in Archero 2 is the Campaign Chapters, and completing them will reward you with all the resources you'll ever need to power up your character. The Campaign Chapters usually have 50 floors, though some are also time-limited (survive for 6 minutes, etc.)

Challenging a chapter stage requires 5 Energy. You regain Energy passively (1 energy per 12 minutes), and you can also watch ads or spend gems (not advised) to regen it quicker. You can also use Energy to quick-hunt, which can get you extra resources if you don't plan on attempting stage clears at that time.

Where to Spend Currency in Archero 2

In Archero 2, you'll be spending two main currencies, Gold and Gems, to increase your character's power for subsequent runs. Gold is used for gear upgrades and Talent Cards. In general, Gold won't be bottlenecking you much.

On the other hand, Gems are what will get you all the best gear and runes in the game. You can get Gems as well as Gold from the Campaign, daily quests, Seal Battles, Arena, Sky Tower, etc. You'll want to save Gems as much as possible and try not to waste any on useless stuff. Here is some general advice regarding currency spending in Archero 2:

• Spend Gold on gear upgrades first and then on Talent Cards. You will have plenty of it later in the game.
• Spend Gems on Rune Ruins in the early game to upgrade your Runes and accelerate your power spike. Single pieces of S-tier gear won't make that big of a difference.
• Spend Gems on S-tier gear chests later on. Don't ever spend Gems on Silver/Obsidian chests.
• Don't spend Gems on Artifacts unless you're P2W.
• If you're F2P, watch ads for extra Gems and other resources.
• If you're P2W, buy the Lifetime Supply Card and the Lifetime Ad-Free Card (~40$ total; click on Privilege Card on the left in the Campaign menu to see them). These will help you massively for as long as you play the game.
• If you're P2W, you can also buy the Monthly Cards, but they don't offer nearly as much value as a single Lifetime Supply Card.

Equipment, Runes, Characters, Talent Cards, and Artifact Tips

Equipment, Runes, characters, Talent Cards, and finally, Artifacts are what affect your power in Archero 2 and what will affect your performance in every game mode there is. Here are general tips on what to upgrade first and how to maximize your power and performance at all times:

• Equipment:
  • Don't upgrade non-S-tier gear beyond Legendary rarity.
  • S-tier gear is the best in the game, and your aim is to get full sets of those later.
  • Never use the S-tier gear as upgrade material.
  • Quick-upgrade your gear whenever you can for extra stats.
  • Gear level is preserved when you swap gear.
  • Never buy Obsidian and Silver gear chests for Gems.
• Runes:
  • Use Gems early on for Rune Ruins to upgrade Runes and get extremely powerful rune bonuses as quickly as possible.
  • Use Runes that are appropriate for the content you're doing. Meteors are good for PvP, and Strike/Main Weapon Runes are good for PvE.
• Characters:
  • Don't spend Gems on buying characters. You will earn enough character shards just by clearing all the events that pop up.
  • Even if you're P2W, spending money on characters isn't that worth it.
• Talent Cards:
  • Spend Gold on equipment upgrades first and only then on Talent Cards.
• Artifacts:
  • Do not waste Gems on Wishes (artifact pulls) unless you're P2W. They are one of the last min-maxes in the game.

Archero 2 Events & Game Mode Tips

There are several game modes you'll need to clear in Archero 2 besides the Campaign Chapters to make your progress as smooth as possible, and you'll have to do them every day. Here is the rundown of each game mode and what you'll get from it:

• Campaign:
  • Complete chapters to earn Gems, Energy, and other valuable resources.
  • Chapters are usually 50 floors long or have a timer.
• Monster Invasion (Guild Boss):
  • Fight the guild boss each day and gain rewards depending on your damage.
  • Use Guild Coins in the Guild Store to buy extra resources.
• Sky Tower:
  • Complete levels to gain Gems, Gold, Gear Scrolls, and other resources.
  • Each level has 5 floors.
  • You get 3 free tickets each day and can get more from ads.
  • Keep challenging the stages whenever you can.
• Arena (PvP):
  • Automated battles with randomized skills.
  • Rewards are gained after each battle and at the end of the season (weekly).
  • Always exhaust your daily tickets.
• Seal Battle:
  • Fight different bosses and reach high damage numbers to get better rewards.
  • Rewards are Wishes and Gems.
  • Seasonal rewards are given away every 28 days, and bosses swap every 7 days.
  • You can clear Seal Battle twice a day.
• Gold Cave:
  • 2-3 minute long stages that reward Gold, Gems, and Scrolls.
  • Always exhaust your daily attempts.
  • Don't quick raid unless you're really stuck on a stage.
• Rune Ruins:
  • Use Shovels to dig for new Runes.
  • Buy Shovels with Gems in the early game to get at least epic-rarity Runes.

Guilds in Archero 2 and Why You Should Join One ASAP

The Guild Shop is one of the best sources of Shovels and Chromatic Chest Keys in Archero 2, and it's paramount that you buy as many of these as you can. To do that, you'll want to join a guild and an active one at that ASAP. Then, take part in the Monster Invasion daily, and be sure to donate at least twice each day for extra activity and Guild Coins (1 free + 20 Gems).
