  • Craft a campfire.
    • 12x Thatch
    • 1x Flint
    • 16x Stone
    • 2x Wood
  • Place the campfire.
  • Add fuel to the campfire.
    • Wood
    • Thatch
    • Sparkpowder
  • Press E/Y/Triangle to light the campfire.

A campfire provides warmth and helps deal with cold temperatures and hypothermia early on; it also provides a light source and allows you to cook meat for cooked meals. You can turn the fire off. It is important to turn it off when you are not using it lest you waste your fuel. Using fuel in the campfire can reward you with charcoal.

The campfire is a perfect place to store extra wood and thatch early on, as long as you remove it before lighting the campfire. Doing so prevents being encumbered and allows you to safely store extra resources. Be mindful that a campfire is considered a thatch structure and can be damaged by anything other than non-explosive ranged attacks.
