Gale Best Feats in BG3
Gale is one of the origin characters in BG3, and he belongs to the Wizard class. If you're keen on the roleplaying aspect and his story, I recommend not changing Gale's class in your first playthrough. Ideally, Gale's spellcaster role will revolve around dishing out damage from a distance. Remember, this character starts with a low Strength attribute (8) and has high Intelligence (17). For the Subclass, select Evocation for Gale to get the Evocation Savant and Sculpt Spell features.
Feats get unlocked at levels four, eight, and 12. Gale is a powerful Wizard and an exceptional scholar, so if you are looking to get the most out of this spellcaster, select the feats we have highlighted below.

For Gale, I experimented with feats like Elemental Adapt, Mage Slayer, Ritual Caster, Spell Sniper, and War Caster. With Elemental Adapt, you can turn Gale into an overpowered environmental wizard. I use spells like Witch Bolt, Lightning Bolt, and Chain Lightning to deal damage on opponents (all Evocation spells). Therefore, selecting Lightning Resistance for Elemental Adapt works perfectly for my build.
On the other hand, Spell Sniper allows you to learn an extra Cantrip. I recommend selecting Eldritch Blast (Evocation Cantrip), as it is one of the best Cantrips to use in Baldur's Gate due to its massive damage potential.
War Caster and Ritual Caster are also brilliant feats to use for Gale as they make him versatile with movement and reactions. War Caster allows you to use Shocking Grasp (an Evocation Cantrip) as a Reaction when enemies are moving away from melee range. For Ritual Caster, I recommend selecting Longstrider and Enhanced Leap.
