Disarming traps is an excellent way to avoid taking damage when exploring the open world in Baldur's Gate 3. However, disarming traps is confusing for new players (similar to adding items to wares). Luckily, we at PGG detail how to disarm traps in this guide.

How to Disarm Traps in BG3

To disarm traps in BG3, players must right-click on a trap near them and select disarm trap using a trap disarm toolkit or ability. However, disarming traps requires at least one disarm toolkit or a special disarm trap ability. You can also become better at disarming traps if you have a specific class. For example, the rogue class in BG3 gets special bonuses for disarming traps, increasing the chance of success.

How to get Trap Disarm Toolkits in BG3

Players can purchase Trap disarm toolkits in Baldur's Gate 3. Sometimes toolkits may drop as loot, but your best bet is to purchase them from one of the following merchants:

  • Cyrel (Location: The Risen Road, Tollhouse)
  • Roah Moonglow (Location: Shattered Sanctum)
  • Brem (Location: Zhentarim Hideout)
  • Arron (Location: Druid Grove)
