TurretRoleReason
Plasma TurretEarly‑Mid GameLow build cost, high DPS when modded. With Detector, Power Source, and Salvage, it’s perfect for rounds 1–5.
Mortar TurretEarly-Mid GameEffective against clustered ground units but struggles against armored foes. Ideal in some scenarios with hordes.
Laser TurretMid‑to‑Late GameOnce unlocked, replaces plasma by round 9. Massive range and single‑target DPS, ideal for clearing back‑line units like Rocketeers.

Always fit your turrets with Detector for night‑time visibility, Power Source to remove support blocks, and Salvage to move and concentrate defenses as waves shift. While there are many other turrets for you to explore, the above options are best if you're a beginner.
