Blue Prince Master Bedroom Puzzle Walkthrough – Location & Solution

The Master Bedroom is one of Blue Prince’s rarest and most mysterious rooms—and also one of the most useful, if you can manage to find it. If you're looking for this elusive bedroom, check out the guide below to find it and solve its puzzle.

Where to Find the Master Bedroom in Blue Prince

Technically, the Master Bedroom is an East Wing room, but in reality, it usually shows up in one of two blueprint slots. The room seems to be bugged, and plenty of players are struggling to find it.

• B9, which is the room directly to the left of the Antechamber at the top of the house.
• E5, which is on the far right of the house, five spots up from the bottom.

The Master Bedroom is also a Rank 9 room, so it won’t appear until you’ve reached Rank 9 in your house. That means one of your rooms needs to be placed on the ninth row of your blueprint (that's the top row where the Antechamber is). Alternatively, if the Master Bedroom is the very first room you unlock on that row, that counts too.

Why Unlock the Master Bedroom

Even though it’s a dead-end room, the Master Bedroom gives you a huge advantage: You’ll gain +1 Step for every room you've placed in your house. This bonus keeps increasing as you add more rooms, making it a fantastic long-term reward. Basically, the more you've built, the more generous this room becomes.

How to Solve the Puzzle Box in the Master Bedroom (Blue Prince)

Once you’ve made it into the room, head over to the table on the left side. You’ll find a puzzle box with a 3x3 grid of squares on top. The goal is to activate the four corner squares so that they become a lighter color than the inactive (dark gray) ones. The corner squares are the key to unlocking the box.

There are a couple of patterns you can aim for to make this happen:

• H-shape: Light up the entire middle column, and both the left and right side. This should leave two dark squares (one in the middle at the top, and one in the middle at the bottom).
• Inverted L-shape: Light up the entire top row, the left side, and just the bottom-right square. This leaves three darker squares surrounding the bottom-right square.

Whichever pattern you end up with, your next step is to click the rounded buttons next to each corner. These only work if the corner square they're next to is lit up. Once all four are activated, the box will pop open.

The Fastest Way to Solve the Master Room Puzzle in Blue Prince

If you want to solve the puzzle fast, here’s a shortcut:

1. Click the bottom-right square.
2. Then click the bottom-middle square.

This forms the H-shape mentioned earlier. From there, just click the rounded buttons by the corners to open the box.

How to Get the Allowance Token in Blue Prince

Solving the box from the Master Bedroom puzzle in Blue Prince grants you the Allowance Token. This gives you a permanent upgrade: You’ll start every new run with two extra coins. It might not sound like much at first, but it really adds up over time and makes early shopping decisions a lot easier.
