With every annual Call of Duty release, players eagerly wait to grind the game and unlock new Mastery Camos to wrap their weapons in. Black Ops 6 features four of these camos for Multiplayer and Zombies, and for the first time, Warzone is also getting its separate Mastery Camo challenge.
First of all, you'll need to complete the base camo challenges to unlock Military and Unique Camos. Once these standard patterns are unlocked, you can then proceed to get Mastery Camos for every weapon, all of which have been showcased below.
All Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Mastery Camos
- Gold: Unlock all Military and Unique Camos for the weapon and then complete the Gold challenge.
- Diamond: Unlock Gold for all weapons in the class and then complete the Diamond challenge.
- Dark Spine: Unlock Diamond for all weapons in BO6 and then complete the Dark Spine challenge.
- Dark Matter: Unlock Dark Spine and then complete the Dark Matter challenge.
These are some classic camo patterns inspired by the previous Black Ops games and look very appealing. A developer claimed during the CoD Next event that "Black Ops 1 gold camo is said to be best, but we've topped it." While the first two Mastery Camos are static, Dark Spine and Dark Matter are animated with shifting patterns. Furthermore, when you shoot the weapon, the dynamic nature of the Dark Matter camo adds some noticeable effects (yellow sparks) to the skin.
All Black Ops 6 Zombies Mastery Camos
- Mystic Gold: Unlock all Military and Unique Camos for the weapon and then complete the Mystic Gold challenge.
- Opal: Unlock Mystic Gold for all weapons in the class and then complete the Opal challenge.
- Afterlife: Unlock Opal for all weapons in BO6 and then complete the Afterlife challenge.
- Nebula: Unlock Afterlife and then complete the Nebula challenge.
Just like every other Treyarch game in the franchise, players can complete camo challenges in Zombies to earn a different set of Mastery Camos. Although I prefer the Multiplayer camos more this time, these are also flashy, especially Afterlife. The challenges can be anything from taking out different zombie types to using various ammo mods. Nebula has a bluish pattern, but when you shoot it, the dynamic effect adds a colorful glow to the skin similar to that of a Nebula (hence the name).
All Black Ops 6 Warzone Mastery Camos
- Gold Tiger: Unlock all Military and Unique Camos for the weapon and then complete the Gold Tiger challenge.
- King's Ransom: Unlock Gold Tiger for all weapons in the class and then complete the King's Ransom challenge.
- Catalyst: Unlock King's Ransom for all weapons in BO6 and then complete the Catalyst challenge.
- Abyss: Unlock Catalyst and then complete the Abyss challenge.
Finally, we'll have something to grind for in Warzone as well. While technically Multiplayer camos could be unlocked in Warzone, the challenges were too difficult to complete in the Battle Royale. Now that we have a separate set of camos for the BR, the developers must have made the unlock criteria more feasible. More importantly, players who don't plan on purchasing Black Ops 6 can do some challenges.
How to unlock Mastery Camos in Black Ops 6
I've already explained how you can unlock each Mastery Camo in Black Ops 6, be it Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone. Having said that, you'll first need to complete the base camo challenges to reach the mastery patterns, here's how:
- Military Camos: Begin by leveling up your weapon and earn 9 Military Camo styles along the way. Including Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone camo challenges, each weapon will have 27 unlockable Military Camos in total.
- Unique Camos: Once you've earned all 9 Military Camos for a weapon, you'll get access to two Unique Camos challenges. After you've unlocked the Unique Camos for a gun, it can be applied on any other weapon in the game, just like how camo progression works in MW3.
- Mastery Camos: Finally, you'll be able to earn the Mastery Camos after completing all Military and Unique Camos for the weapon.
