Just like every other major update, Season 5 brings a brand new limited-time event to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The Faction Showdown event is live and players can now complete challenges to receive various rewards such as weapon blueprints, camos, and vehicle skins.
Faction Showdown Limited-Time Event Details
For this event, you are asked to choose between Task Force 141 and Shadow Company factions. Each faction has five missions that you can complete to receive rewards. Furthermore, you can switch your assigned faction anytime to the other one. This way you can complete the challenges and unlock the rewards for both sides.

Make sure you switch to the other faction in the events menu before attempting their challenges.
Faction Showdown Mastery Rewards
These were the basic rewards associated with the challenges for the Faction Showdown event. If you complete all five challenges for either faction, you'll receive a unique weapon blueprint. The mastery reward for Task Force 141 is a BAS-P SMG blueprint, while Shadow Company has an LA-B 330 Sniper Rifle blueprint.
Faction Showdown Community Challenge Rewards
Faction Showdown Event also has a community challenge like the Heroes vs Villians Event from Warzone Caldera. At the end of the event, the faction with the highest number of kills will win. Every player who has contributed even a single kill to the event will receive the reward associated with the winning faction. I'm going with Shadow Company, but which side are you on?
If Task Force 141 wins, players will get an operator skin for Soap, the Polished weapon camo, and a 2XP token. On the other hand, players will receive an operator skin for Horangi, the Blood Cell weapon camo, and a 2XP token if Shadow Company prevails.
