Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 update is finally here, bringing a new event called Critical Countdown. As is tradition, players can earn various free rewards such as weapon skins and calling cards by completing a few simple challenges. So without any further delay, let's dive into the details.
How to complete the Critical Countdown event in Modern Warfare 3
Your primary objective during the Critical Countdown event is to collect four types of DNA samples in multiplayer matches and ultimately use them to unlock rewards in Modern Warfare 3. Here's the list of all the DNA strands you can acquire:
- Ade (Blue DNA strands)
- Cyto (Orange DNA strands)
- TBA
- TBA
As you can clearly see, only two of the four DNA samples are available in the game right now, and they can be obtained by killing your opponents or looting caches. However, the type of DNA sample you get is entirely random, so you may have to grind for a particular type to unlock its respective reward.
All Modern Warfare 3 Critical Countdown event rewards
Modern Warfare 3 players can collect the following rewards during the Critical Countdown event:

It's worth noting that more rewards will be added once the rest of the DNA samples are released into the game. Apart from this, you will get the World Ender blueprint for the FR 5.56 if you unlock all of the above-mentioned rewards.
Surprisingly, Critical Countdown is a four-week-long event, which means players have plenty of time to earn enough tokens and unlock all the rewards.
