The biggest Warzone event to date.

Call of Duty just revealed the roadmap for Vanguard and Warzone Season 3. While the content drop for Warzone is unlike any the game has received, Vanguard doesn't seem to be getting much attention this season. Here's a guide briefly explaining every major change that you can expect from the update.

Changes to Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3

First off, the Call of Duty and MonsterVerse crossover brings Godzilla and Kong to Caldera. A trailer showcasing the two monsters clashing on Caldera island was dropped recently. A limited-time event, Operation Monarch—which features the monsters—will arrive later in the season.

Players will also get to see a variety of map changes to points of interest (POIs) in Caldera. This includes a brand new POI, Dig Site, and upgrades to Peak, Runway, and Lagoon. Moreover, Easter Eggs and challenges related to the upcoming event will be made available as well.

Just like any other seasonal update, Season 3 will add new weapons, operators, cosmetic bundles, and a battle pass to Warzone and Vanguard. Here's an overview of the new weapons and operators being added:

  • Weapons
    • M1916 Marksman Rifle
    • Nikita AVT Assault Rifle
    • Sledgehammer Melee
    • H4 Blixen Submachine Gun
  • Operators
    • Mateo Hernandez
    • Florence Carter
    • Kim Tae Young

Changes to Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 3

As mentioned previously, the content drop for Vanguard this season is quite underwhelming. Besides some balancing changes and quality-of-life improvements, here's the gist of the new additions to Vanguard in Season 3:

  • Multiplayer
    • Maps: Mayhem and Sphere
    • Equipment: Trophy System
    • New Ranked Play Rewards
  • Zombies - 20 new Season Challenges

For Vanguard Zombies, Treyarch recently addressed the state of the game and future plans for it. This includes a Round-based Zombies mode, but it will not arrive before Season 4.
