How do the Mechanic and Armory Perks work in Call of Duty: Vanguard?

More ways to customize your loadout.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Vanguard adds two new perks to the game, which you can equip in your loadout. The Mechanic and Armory perks are unlocked via the Battle Pass at Tier 21 and Tier 44, respectively. Here's how these perks play out in the Vanguard Multiplayer.

How does the Mechanic Perk work in Vanguard?

Mechanic can be equipped from the Perk 3 slot and it charges your field upgrade 20% faster. If you have a habit of using your field upgrade frequently, this is the perfect perk for you. The ability to replenish your Dead Silence or Field Mic faster than others gives your squad the upper edge.

The rival perks in the third slot aren't necessarily overpowered, which reduces conflict of interest while selecting Mechanic. Its biggest competitor is arguably the Lightweight perk.

How does the Armory Perk work in Vanguard?

Armory is a Perk 1 item that allows you to use equipment faster. It works similar to the On-Hand weapon perk, which improves equipment dexterity. Furthermore, it makes you immune to the Engineer perk, which the enemy players might be using.

Your field upgrades and equipment will not be highlighted to enemies. Since the first perk slot is crowded with some of the most dominant perks (i.e. Ninja, Ghost, and Fortified), Armory may not be the best option.
