Arms Race is a 24 player game mode that takes place on the Alps map in Call of Duty: Vanguard Multiplayer. The large-scale battle was added to the game with the Season 2 Reloaded update. Here's everything you need to know on how the game mode works.
What is Arms Race mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard?
In Arms Race, two teams of 12 players each drop on the map with a primary objective: capture all bases. A total of seven bases are spread across the map, out of which only five are operational in a match. You can capture a base by holding it from enemies for a short time, similar to the classic Domination game mode.
Once captured, gates are automatically raised that prevent enemies from entering easily. In order to access an enemy base, you need to destroy the gate using explosives and bullets. The first team to capture all bases or the one with the most captured bases at the end of a match wins.
Upon elimination, you can choose to spawn on either of the bases under your team's control. Alternatively, you can spawn on one of your living teammates. Another major part of the Arms Race game mode is the Buy Stations.
Buy Stations can be accessed from your team's base to purchase supplies for cash. You can use these points to buy Killstreaks, Equipment, weapons, vehicles, and your custom classes. Cash can be earned by eliminating enemy players and capturing control points on the map.
Additionally, Nebula V Bombs are dropped at regular intervals. Players can secure one and use it to destroy an enemy base. Once you manage to capture all the bases, the enemy will get a very short time to reclaim at least one of them. If you manage to successfully defend the bases, your team will be declared the winner.
